I am a wife, a mom, an entrepreneur and an animal lover. I'm an introvert and I am much more myself when I am around animals. Growing up I always knew I wanted to work with dogs (or horses), though I didn't know exactly what that looked like. I'm proud of what I have accomplished, and I want to share it all with you so you can feel proud of yourself as well!

 I'm not going to take you on my entire journey, but I will give you some highlights. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Business Degree in Animal Science. I then went on to work for a pig farm...yes, a pig farm!!

The pig farm did not last long, and after that, I went into real estate. I learned most of my business and people skills through this business. 

Once we started having kids, I knew I was meant for more. I wanted to be with our kids. I wanted them to have summers. I wanted them to see that mom could do it all. So, I did some soul searching and thus, my dog boarding business plan was born. It was hard. It was tedious. I cried, a lot. I almost quit, a lot. I almost gave up, a lot. But, I didn't. I stuck with it and I figured out how to do it, on my own. And I did it. 

I opened my dog boarding business on July 1, 2013 and I ran it until April of 2022. My husband received a job transfer and we moved out of state. Though we did not sell the actual business, we sold the land and the building and I am quite proud to say that it is still a functioning, successful dog boarding business.
